I would like to thank Chelshire, Inc. for the opportunity they have given our family to review this wonderful, general, historic overview of If You Were Me and Lived in... Elizabethan England written by Carole P. Roman (click on her name and it will take you to her blog) We found a question sheet that my children can answer while reading. Other books have questions and or worksheets.
My daughter loves Carole P. Roman books and has devoured these If You Were Me and Lived in.... series books that we do have. History can be so dry and boring, but it we as parents can find books like these to have our children read/ read to, it will make it more exciting. Hopefully, she will keep her love of history alive because these books gave her a good foundation.
Her favorite parts of #Elizabethan were learning about all the clothing that they had to put on to get dressed. (I would have to take a nap after all that) and learning about the homes they lived in. She didn't think it fair that the boys got to learn and work. Girls had to learn how to keep a home and sew, and got married really young.
We are also working on a lap book that will go more in depth of this time period. Most of the items we have been getting online for free especially from Tina's Dynamic Homeschool I have gotten a few good ideas from pictures we have seen just need to make them our own.
You can find this and other Carole P. Roman books on amazon. Here is the link to this book. (I am NOT compensated for you clicking or buying this book)
